The first edition is launched

The event organized by the brokerage firm Almasi Capital & Advisory opened in Douala on September 23, under the patronage of the Prime Minister.

Since September 23, 2026, Central African financial market participants have been meeting in Douala for the first Diamond Capital Convention (DCC). Organised by Almasi Capital & Advisory over three days, the event was opened by the Minister of Finance, on behalf of the Prime Minister, Head of Government. Its theme is “Development, innovation and inclusion: the levers of the CEMAC financial market”.

Investors, business leaders and market players were present. In particular, the president of COSUMAF, Jacqueline Adiaba-Nkemke, and the director general of the Central African Stock Exchange (BVMAC), Louis Banga Tollo, stand out.

For Ingrid Obouh Fegue, Managing Director of Almasi Capital & Advisory, the objective is to create a meeting space between capital and projects. The DCC aims to become a reference platform for the financing, investment and development of capital markets in Central Africa.

The president of COSUMAF welcomed a remarkable initiative and promised the support of the regulator for all market initiatives. She described a two-sided situation: on the one hand, existing capital, derived from household savings and the reserves of social security funds; on the other, infrastructure projects and investment plans by states and companies. They now need to be connected, thanks to a trusted infrastructure.

The representative of the Prime Minister recalled that bank financing, although essential, cannot meet the needs of the sub-region alone. He called for a deep, liquid, transparent and secure financial market, capable of mobilizing regional and international savings to finance productive investments.
